Beyond the Isobaric Multiplet Mass Equation

Abstract: Isospin is a fundamental symmetry in nature and can be used to gleam information on nuclear structure. Within the charge independence hypothesis of the nuclear force, the Coulomb energy component of nuclear mass can be described as an isospin dependent function through the Isobaric multiplet Mass Equation.
