“…In particular, articles [7-11, 14-16, 21, 22] present the results of a number of empirical investigations focused on the study of the specificity of using a separate visualization method and its influence on a specific business objective (in [15,16,21,22] to the theory construction phase). Around half of the specified works are dedicated to subjects such as communication and collaboration.…”

“…Another broad stream of visual methods builds upon the array of established participantcentered research methods. For example, visual interviewing (Comi, Bischof, & Eppler, 2014) builds upon some of the rules of semi-structured interviewing. Visually-supported experiments (Lim, O'Connor, & Remus, 2005;Stewart & Stewart, 2001) adopt much of the classical experimental research apparatus.…”

“…The testing of the framework was based on discussion with the interviewee and then sketching the framework from the perspective of how it appeared to work in the company, with comment ensuing. Visual language can, according to Comi et al (2014), lead to the generation of richer data and greater involvement of interviewees. This meant that the interview could accommodate a more exacting discussion in order to obtain the necessary information for the framework.…”
