“…In defined time intervals of 15, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240, 300, 360, 540, and 720 min after the bolus dose of piritramide, a pain score was assessed and the transcutaneous oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, heart rate, and non-invasive blood pressure were documented in the case report file. To assess pain, two different pain scales were used: the Children's and Infant's Postoperative Pain Scale (CHIPPS) [7] for non-ventilated postsurgical infants and the pain score for ventilated children according to Hartwig scores [10,11] for the ventilated patients. A CHIPPS score of more than 3 points and a Hartwig score of more than 13 points were defined as pain with the necessity of pharmacological treatment.…”
