Between order and insurgency: Post-structuralism and the problem of justice

Abstract: Faced with the apologetic and exclusionary tendencies of liberal normativism, there is a marked trend in political theory to recover a more critical conception of justice, which does not adopt the dismissive attitude of traditional Marxism. “…It is as a way out of the double bind between liberal legalism and sociological reductionism that Jacques Derrida (2002) has sought to substantiate the excessiveness of justice, hence its irreducibility either to law or class domination.
