Abstract: This paper presents a current research trend based on the best papers awarded in 2019 and 2020 by Materials Transactions. The summary includes the 8 papers carefully selected from the articles in the research areas of materials physics, microstructures of materials, mechanics of materials, materials chemistry, materials processing, and engineering materials and their applications.
