Affectively and cognitively, these precursors may include anxiety and fear responses, helplessness, anger, shame, perceived social isolation, and/or guilt (Parkes, 2008). So, early intervention may include outreach from providers who recognize such precursors before a formal psychiatric condition emerges.…”
