The degree of toxicity is proportional to the measured light loss (Kössler et al, 1965) and there is generally a good correlation between toxicity determined using V. fischeri and that measured by bioassays using higher organisms such as Daphnia, Fathead minnow, and Rainbow trout (Gaelli et al, 1994;Kaiser, 1998;Kaiser and Palabrica, 1991;Toussaint et al, 1995;Schramm et al, 1996).…”
