Abstract:Various benzotriazepine ring systems have been synthesized and examined for biological activity. Moreover, the 1,3,4-benzotriazepin-2-one has been shown to act as a constrained amino amide surrogate in mimics of peptide turn secondary structures. This review examines syntheses of the different benzotriazepine ring systems and heterocycle fused variants as well as their conformational and biological properties.
