Benzophenone: a ubiquitous scaffold in medicinal chemistry

Abstract: Diaryl ketones are an important scaffold in drug discovery due to their prevalence in naturally occurring bioactive compounds. This review discusses molecules containing the benzophenone moiety that have potent biological activity.
