Benefits of using non-invasive ventilation in the treatment of acute respiratory failure with COVID-19

Abstract: Proper patient selection is a key factor in achieving NIV success. In case of complication of COVID-19 by acute respiratory failure, patients with hypercapnia and moderate respiratory acidosis are most suitable, though the combination of respiratory and metabolic acidosis also responds well to NIV therapy.
