“…With the rise in the percentage of sunflower meal in the diet so did the inclusion of oil, effectively meeting the birds' energy necessities and enhancing the diet's digestibility [43]. Furthermore, the utilization of SFM resulted in an increase in apparent metabolizable energy, potentially contributing to the enhanced feed-to-gain ratio. In accordance with our findings, Muthui et al [44] also observed that the utilization of unconventional feed materials enhances the growth rate of pigs. Furthermore, El Dakroury [45] discovered that Moringa Oleifera Leaves Powder can serve as a natural, efficient, and secure substitute for growth-promoting antibiotics in broiler chickens.…”

“…Nearly 80% of the total investment in piggery is for feeding only (Anonymous, 2012 andLiao andNyachoti, 2017). Unavailability as well as involvement of very high prices for the conventional feed ingredients compel the pig farmers of Mizoram to use the locally available grains with many unconventional feeds for day-to-day feeding of pigs to reduce the feeding cost and to have remunerative profit (Buragohain, 2012) and thereby to improve the sustainability of the enterprise (Muthui et al, 2018). Unconventional feed resources contribute majority of the feedstuffs offered to pigs and feeding of homemade cooked feed including kitchen waste and locally available plants is the common feeding practice (Kumaresan et al, 2009 andMoanaro et al, 2011) in Mizoram.…”
