The 2020 quarantine demonstrated that online food purchase has become one of the main protagonists of the pandemic. The present study valued the Internet as a mediator between producers and consumers with the power to create new demand for Romanian traditional food during the COVID-19 crisis. Authors aimed at carrying out an exploratory research about the online purchase of traditional foods (TFs). Within this context, the study, firstly, outlines the meaning of traditional foods in the Romanian consumers’ minds and, secondly, it identifies the variables that can predict the preference for the online purchase of TFs during the COVID-19 pandemic. An online survey was carried out to investigate the Romanian consumers’ perceptions (n = 223) of TFs and online purchase of TFs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Binary logistic regression tested the relationship between the preference for the online purchase of TFS (vs. in-store) and seven perceived characteristics of TFs. Results show that the preference for the online purchase of TFs during the COVID-19 pandemic can be predicted by five variables—“TFs taste”; “Effect of TFs consumption on health during the COVID-19 pandemic”; “Effect of online TFs purchase on health during the COVID-19 pandemic”; “How cheap/expensive is to buy TFS online during the COVID-19 pandemic”; and “Easiness to purchase TFS online during the COVID-19 pandemic”. It was concluded that TFs have to claim their place within this digitized landscape by finding the balance between old and new, between preferences for foods taste passed through generations and new life lifestyles at 5G speed.

This study explores the relationship between religious beliefs, perceptions of climate change, and preferences for energy frugality in Europe using data from the November 2023 European Social Survey across 22 countries. The research reveals a predominant inclination toward median values in addressing climate change, with subtle variations based on levels of religiosity. Lower religiosity tends to be associated with a nuanced attribution of climate change to human activity. There is a complex interplay between religiosity and the perception of personal responsibility in mitigating climate change, indicating some polarisation but an overall increasing sense of accountability. Religious affiliations show distinct attitudes, with Protestants more inclined to attribute climate change to human causes. Roman Catholics are closer to some Protestants, while other Christian denominations exhibit flexibility and common ground with Islam and Judaism. However, it is concluded that demographics and political alignment play a more pivotal role compared to religiosity levels or religious denominations.

This study discussed the application of eco-theological concepts in Christian life through the tradition of Unduh-Unduh festivity. The concept of eco-theology taught that humans had a moral responsibility to preserve nature and create harmony between humans and nature. The tradition of Unduh-Unduh festivity in Bali, which is carried out annually, has very strong eco-theological elements, such as respect for nature and efforts to preserve the environment. This study used qualitative research methods by conducting interviews about the celebration of Unduh-Unduh. The results showed that the Unduh-Unduh tradition was very important for the congregation as a form of respect for nature and God's creation. In the context of Christian life, the application of eco-theological concepts through Unduh-Unduh tradition could help to increase the awareness of human moral responsibility to preserve nature and create harmony between humans and nature. AbstakStudi ini membahas penerapan konsep eko-teologi dalam kehidupan Kristen melalui tradisi perayaan Unduh-Unduh. Konsep eko-teologi mengajarkan bahwa manusia memiliki tanggung jawab moral untuk menjaga kelestarian alam dan menciptakan harmoni antara manusia dan alam. Tradisi perayaan Unduh-Unduh di Bali, yang dilakukan setiap tahunnya, memiliki unsur-unsur eko-teologi yang sangat kuat, seperti penghormatan terhadap alam dan upaya untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara dalam merayakan Unduh-Unduh.
