“…The oxides of iodine were decomposed by ultraviolet light, and an aliquot of the solution was treated with arsenic trioxide, followed by 0.02V Ce-(S04)2 and the extinction measured at 420 µ in the presence of silver nitrate. Tolg (320) used closed-flask combustion for microgram amounts of fluorine, sulfur, or phosphorus. The F~was determined photometrically with zirconium-morin complex; the sulfur was reduced to H2S which was titrated with cadmium chloride solution and the phosphorus measured as the molybdenum blue complex.…”
