Abstract:Supernumerary kidneys are the most rarely observed anomalies of urogenital tract. Frequency, pathological anatomy, symptomatology and the different possibilities of the therapy as well as the indications are discussed on occasion of one observation. In this case, the supernumerary kidney was diagnosed preoperatively. The diagnosis was founded on the cystoscopic investigation and the retrograde pyelography. By the operation, a secondary atrophic kidney was found.
