“…Control group participants received a monthly untailored text message asking for information about changes in postal or email addresses. The safetxt intervention did not reduce STIs, there were slightly more infections in the intervention group with 22.2% (693/3123) versus 20.3% (633/3125) in the control group (OR 1.13, 95% CI 0.98 to 1.31) 19 20.
