Behavioral effects of ethanol in the Red Swamp Crayfish (Procambarus clarkii)

Abstract: Alcohol abuse and dependence remains one of the primary preventable sources of human mortality in the United States. Model laboratory species can be used to evaluate behavioral, neuropharmacological and other biological changes associated with alcohol exposure and to identify novel treatment modalities.
