Behavior of High Strength Steel Fuseis Seismic Resistant Systems

Abstract: Abstract. FUSEIS is an innovative seismic resistant system consisting of two closely spaced strong columns rigidly connected through multiple beams. The system resists lateral loads as a vertical Vierendeel beam. The dissipative elements are the FUSEIS beams and they usually have reduced beam sections (RBS) towards beam ends in order for the plastic hinge formation to be shifted away from the connections.
