Abstract. This paper describes the two-stage construction of a fuzzy simulation system for finding optimal current densities in the electron beam of a forevacuum plasma source. The first stage consists in solving a direct problem of constructing a fuzzy model describing the dependence of the current density on the parameters of the plasma source. The second stage consists in solving an inverse problem of finding the parameters of the plasma source taking into account the variations in the current density along the cross section of the electron beam. The simulation is carried out based on the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system constructed using the piecewise linear initialization (PLI) method, cuckoo search (CS) algorithm, and recursive least squares (RLS) method.
