“…The habenula (Hb) is an epithalamic structure that presents rich connections with several cortical and subcortical structures, including the limbic system, and areas responsible for the production and regulation of monoamines (i.e., raphe nuclei for serotonin, ventral tegmental area and substantia nigra for dopamine, and locus coeruleus for noradrenaline) ( 1 5 ).
