Abstract: Haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) involves the intravenous infusion of autologous or allogenic stem cells collected from bone marrow, peripheral blood or umbilical cord to re-establish haematopoietic function in patients whose bone marrow or immune system is damaged or defective.
