Abstract: ABSTRACT:Inspiration for new NMR experiments can sometimes come from other disciplines, far removed from magnetic resonance. Five disparate examples are presented: optimum weighing strategies, radar technology, Darwin's theory of evolution, quantum computers, and simulation of brain function.
