Bedside echocardiography in the assessment of the critically ill

Abstract: Advances in ultrasound technology continue to enhance its diagnostic applications in daily medical practice. Bedside echocardiographic examination has become useful to properly trained cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, surgeons, and emergency room physicians.
