“…The relationship between psychotherapy and religion is varied and has developed significantly during the last century, both in the different traditions of psychotherapy and in an overarching perspective. It is therefore appropriate for this study to not differentiate between traditions as though this could make a difference in today's psychological landscape, but to regard psychotherapy as a single approach with many variations across psychological schools and many similarities in clinical practice (Tschuschke et al, 2015).
