Abstract:To investigate Bauschinger effect in metastable high-entropy alloys with strain-induced FCC → HCP phase transformation, we designed a series of Gd micro-alloying non-equiatomic metastable high-entropy alloys. The results show that all tested alloys have asymmetrical tension-compression properties exhibiting the obvious Bauschinger effect, which is related to the different levels of phase transformation in compression and tension owing to different deformation textures. Excessive phase transformation suppresses… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
