Battle of the Sexes in Best of Breed: Sex Influences Dogs’ Success in the Show Ring

Abstract: Simple SummaryWhen breeding dogs, the dam and the sire contribute equally to the genetics of each of their puppies, and so each parent should be equally important to show-ring success. The current study collated samples of dog show results to explore relationships between sex and the likelihood of success in the show ring.
