Batch Adsorption Studies on the Removal of Lead(II) from Aqueous Solution Using Typha Angustata L.

Abstract: Batch adsorption studies were carried out for the removal of lead using activated carbon TiO 2 nanocomposite. Effect of various factors such as pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial concentration and temperature were studied. The kinetics and equilibrium data for the adsorption of lead were analysed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm of pseudo first and second order. Pseudo second order kinetics provided the best fit for kinetic data.
