Batch Adsorption Studies on the Removal of Lead(II) from Aqueous Solution Using Typha Angustata L.
Abstract:Batch adsorption studies were carried out for the removal of lead using activated carbon TiO 2 nanocomposite. Effect of various factors such as pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial concentration and temperature were studied. The kinetics and equilibrium data for the adsorption of lead were analysed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm of pseudo first and second order. Pseudo second order kinetics provided the best fit for kinetic data.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
