Contrast is a distinctive image feature that tells if it has adequate visual quality or not. On many occasions, images are captured with low-contrast due to inevitable obstacles. Therefore, an improved type-II fuzzy set-based algorithm is developed to enhance the contrast of various color and grayscale images properly while preserving the brightness and providing natural colors. The proposed algorithm utilizes new upper and lower ranges, amended Hamacher t-conorm, and a transform-based gamma correction method to provide the enhanced images. The proposed algorithm is assessed with artificial and real contrast distorted images, compared with twelve specialized methods, and the outcomes are evaluated using four advanced metrics. From the obtained results of experiments and comparisons, the developed algorithm demonstrated the ability to process various color and grayscale images, performed the best among the comparative methods, and scored the best in all four quality evaluation metrics. The findings of this study are significant because the proposed algorithm has low-complexity and can adjust the contrast of different images expeditiously, which enables it to be used with different imaging modalities especially those with limited hardware resources or produce high-resolution images.

The development of green logistics in a low-carbon environment is an important way for logistics companies to reduce operating costs, and it is also a strategic measure to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization. This study improves the bat algorithm for single-delivery express delivery and multi-delivery, determines the optimal target and seeks the optimal solution, establishes the optimal logistics distribution scheme combined with corporate profits, and finally, compares it with other algorithms to verify the feasibility of the model. In the same experimental environment, it is proven that the performance of the built model is about 20% higher than that of other methods, and the planned path is the most reasonable. In the future application of e-commerce logistics system, it is a more efficient, reasonable, and perfect discrete logistics model.

Infection/disease in lung is one of the acute illnesses in humans. Pneumonia is one of the major lung diseases and each year; the death rate due to the untreated pneumonia is on rise globally. From December 2019; the pneumonia caused by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has emerged as a global threat due to its rapidity. The clinical level assessment of the COVID-19 is normally performed with the Computed-Tomography scan Slice (CTS) or the Chest X-ray. This research aims to propose an image processing system to examine the COVID-19 infection in CTS. This work implements Cuckoo-Search-Algorithm (CSA) monitored Kapur/Otsu image thresholding and a chosen image segmentation procedure to extract the pneumonia infection. After extracting the COVID-19 infection from the CTS, a relative assessment is then executed with the Ground-Truth-Image (GTI) offered by a radiologist and the essential performance measures are then computed to confirm the superiority of the proposed technique. This work also presents a comparative assessment among the segmentation procedures, such as Level-Set (LS) and Chan-Vese (CV) methods. The experimental outcome authenticates that, the results by Kapur and Otsu threshold are approximately similar when the LS is implemented and the CV with the Otsu presents better values of Jaccard, Dice and Accuracy compared to other methods presented in this research.
