Basic sanitation as a major factor in the public health of communities

Abstract

The defi ciency in basic sanitation in Brazil brings with it a concern, considering the seriousness of its role in the connection it has with health and the environment. Sanitation as a health promotion encompasses the foundation of a circumspect physical structure of water, sewage and drainage systems, which diff erentiates it from an operation in the physical environment. In this context, this study aims to analyze the importance of basic sanitation for public health in communities. As specifi c objectives: to present the defi nition and characteristics of sanitary sewage; check what means can be used for sewage treatment. Bibliographic research was used as a methodology
