Based On Confined Polymerization: In Situ Synthesis of PANI/PEEK Composite Film in One‐Step

Abstract: Confined polymerization is an effective method for precise synthesis, which can further control the micro-nano structure inside the composite material. Polyaniline (PANI)-based composites are usually prepared by blending and original growth methods. However, due to the strong rigidity and hydrogen bonding of PANI, the content of PANI composites is low and easy to agglomerate. Here, based on confined polymerization, it is reported that polyaniline /polyether ether ketone (PANI/PEEK) film with high PANI content … Show more

“…On NaNbO 3 @R-PANI, the relative strength of the absorption peaks at 1590 and 1150 cm –1 diminishes and the absorption peak of the benzenoid ring at 795 cm –1 increases significantly after the reduction. These changes reveal that the quinoid structure amount of the oxidation unit increased and verify that the reduction was successful . As shown in the Raman spectrum in Figure b, NaNbO 3 nanowires’ perovskite-type orthorhombic crystal structure is demonstrated by the Nb–O symmetric stretching vibration peaks at 564–606 cm –1 and the short NbO stretching vibration peaks at 869–870 cm –1 .…”

“…After that, CMC-Na ( Figure 6 a) presented a sharp mass loss at around 290 °C, which corresponds to the decomposition of its glucose-unit chain and side carboxylic groups [ 46 ]. PANI ( Figure 6 b) exhibited two sharp decreases in mass at around 253 °C and 522 °C, which may be caused by the deprotonation of PANI and decomposition of the backbone units of PANI, respectively [ 30 , 47 ]. In the curve of the dip catalyst ( Figure 6 c), a mass loss in the temperature range of 198–400 °C appeared.…”

“…The traditional method for the preparation of PANI films is the solution casting technique, using various solvents, such as m -cresol solution [ 29 ], to dissolve PANIs. To develop a new approach, a template method was developed by using synthetic polymer film as a soft template for the polymerization of aniline monomer on its surface, and, thus, assisted the formation of PANI film [ 30 ]. Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) is non-toxic, biodegrade, economic, and eco-friendly, and it bears a great number of carboxymethyl (–CH 2 COO − ) and free hydroxyl (–OH) groups on its glucose-unit chain, providing it with a splendid capacity to coordinate with various metal cations [ 31 ], and to form H-bonds with molecules containing active groups, such as hydroxy-, amino-, and carboxylic groups.…”

“…The successful incorporation of PANI has been confirmed by the presence of stretching vibration bands of γ(N−H), quinonoid, benzenoid, γ(C−N), and aromatic γ(C−H) characteristic groups as shown in Figure S9 located at 3435, 1538, 1494, 1301, and 1141 cm −1 , respectively. 38,39 Under electrochemical redox conditions (Figure S10), the imine nitrogen atoms within PANI can be protonated; 40 thus, the Cl − can be uptaken in PANI, as illustrated in Figure 4a.…”

“…Via this configuration, the P-3D-wood electrode is expected to contribute to the anion removal in seawater, while the 450 °C + NaClO 2 wood electrode can be used to remove the cations. , PANI refers to a large class of conducting polymers that can exist in three different discrete oxidation states at the molecular level, as shown in Figure a. The successful incorporation of PANI has been confirmed by the presence of stretching vibration bands of γ(N–H), quinonoid, benzenoid, γ(C–N), and aromatic γ(C–H) characteristic groups as shown in Figure S9 located at 3435, 1538, 1494, 1301, and 1141 cm –1 , respectively. , Under electrochemical redox conditions (Figure S10), the imine nitrogen atoms within PANI can be protonated; thus, the Cl – can be uptaken in PANI, as illustrated in Figure a.…”
