Barriers to preventive and periodontic care for the older population

Abstract

SUMMARY The ability of the dental delivery system to provide the older population with preventive and periodontal care now and in the future is examined. Identification of the structural barriers to obtaining this care suggests public policy recommendations aimed at increasing the older adult's dental health status.
