Abstract:ABSTRACT.1 Continuous cooling transformation (CCT) behavior of plain low carbon steel was investigated. Based on the obtained results, allotriomorphic ferrite and high volume fraction of bainite structure has been obtained by controlled deforming in the finish rolling temperature (higher than Ae3) and controlled cooling. The formation of bainite would lead to an enhanced strength of the low carbon steel and the steel possesses a good combination of strength and ductility.
