“…Several studies applied ANNs to predict the concentration or emission of one or more air pollutants in an area (9,27,28,(30)(31)(32)(33)(34). They applied various methodologies to forecast future air pollution conditions, as well as climate change impacts on air quality.…”

“…The effluent bacteria from the leaching experiment were recovered by plate-count method (Swanson et al, 1992;Guber et al, 2006) according to previous studies by Sepehrnia et al (2017Sepehrnia et al ( , 2018. One mL of the effluents was poured into 9 ml sterilized distilled water, diluted (e.g.,1,000 and 10,000 times), and 0.1 ml of diluted sample plated on Eosin Methylene Blue (EMB) and incubated at 37 C for 18-24 h. The viable cells grown (i.e., greenish metallic sheen) on the medium culture plates were counted and the concentrations of bacteria were reported based on the colony forming units (CFUs) of fecal coliforms per 1 ml (CFU mL À1 ) (Swanson et al, 1992;Guber et al, 2006).…”

“…In general, manures are considered solid with a dry solid content above 20% (Blaustein et al, 2015). Woody, soluble, and colloidal materials with a broad size and distribution mainly constitute solid manures (Hafez et al, 1974;Sepehrnia et al, 2017Sepehrnia et al, , 2018. The composition depends on type, age, and nutrition of animal, bedding materials, carbon compounds, storage conditions, etc.…”

“…Indeed, the two groups of germs are hosts of the digestive tract, with the difference that the faecal coliforms testify to a recent faecal contamination while the faecal streptococci, more resistant in the environment, testify to an old faecal contamination (Trevisan et al, 2002). Their presence in water marks faecal contamination from household waste water, toilets built near used water sources, individual deposits, and/or soil contamination (Gondim et al, 2016;Sepehrnia et al, 2017).…”
