“…When our study was compared to a study of sheep by Sadet-Bourgeteau et al (36), the phyla Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, and Spirochaetes were detected from both sheep and heifers, suggesting they are the predominant bacteria in the epimural bacterial community in ruminants.
