“…The aerobic denitrification capacity of strains PYX97 and TSJ96 monocultures and cocultures was investigated under different reaction conditions, including varying carbon/nitrogen ratio (C/N = 1, 4, 7, 10, and 13), pH levels (pH = 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9), and shaking speed (30, 60, 90, 120, and 150 rpm). The shaking speed in the dark shaking biochemical incubator was found to be associated with the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentrations. − The relationship between DO concentrations and the shaking speed was measured: DO 30rpm/30°C = 1.6 mg/L, DO 60rpm/30°C = 3.5 mg/L, DO 90rpm/30°C = 5.2 mg/L, DO 120rpm/30°C = 6.5 mg/L, DO 150rpm/30°C = 8.4 mg/L. − The denitrification performance was evaluated by measuring the nitrate concentrations and the OD 600 values at the end of cultivation.…”
