Bacterial cold-water disease in ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis altivelis) inhabiting rivers in Japan

Abstract: Ayu or sweetfish, Plecoglossus altivelis altivelis, is commercially important to inland fisheries in Japan and popular as a summer delicacy owing to its unusually sweet flavor.
