Bacteria inactivation using spinel cobalt ferrite catalyst

Abstract: The E. coli inactivation using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and cobalt ferrite granulated catalyst was investigated in a fixed-bed flow reactor. CoFe2O4 catalyst was synthesized by the co-precipitation method, granulated, and annealed at 1150°C. X-ray diffraction analysis was used to identify the crystal structure of the catalyst.
