Bacteraemia and antibiotic-resistant pathogens in community acquired pneumonia: risk and prognosis

Abstract: The sensitivity of blood cultures in the diagnosis of bacteraemia for community-acquired pneumonia is low. Recommendations, by guidelines, to perform blood cultures are discordant.
