Backlash analysis of RV reducer based on Error Factor Sensitivity and Monte-Carlo Simulation

Abstract: Error factors of RV reducer are not completely considered, leads to backlash precision is limited, so an improved backlash estimation model is proposed. RV reducer structure and working principle is deeply analyzed, a variety of error factors are considered, and the backlash estimation model is improved according to error propagation. Furthermore, sensitivity of all the error factors are analyzed, RV reducer backlash is obtained through Monte-Carlo simulation, and the simulation results are compared with the t… Show more

“…erefore, it is determined that there are 50 nodes in the hidden layer, represented by R i . e weight from T i to R i is uik, using the relationship between the additional torque and the torque transmitted by the shaft shown in equation (10). e input signal is transformed by the function shown in equation (10) and sent to the hidden layer.…”

“…The uneven frictional force caused by deformation of the components and the misalignment error can lead to torque fluctuation. The above troubles inevitably disturb the measurements of torque [18][19][20].…”

“…In the paper, the sensitivities and weights of error factors need to be Technical Editor: Zilda de Castro Silveira, Ph.D. prescribed in advance. Sun et al [23] studied the backlash of an RV reducer based on error factor sensitivity. In the paper, a backlash model was proposed and various error factors were considered.…”
