$$B\rightarrow K^*\mu ^+\mu ^-$$ B → K ∗ μ + μ - optimised observables in the MSSM

Abstract: We provide a detailed analysis of the impact of the newly measured optimised observables in the B → K * μ + μ − decay by the LHCb experiment. The analysis is performed in the MSSM, both in the context of the usual constrained scenarios and in the context of a more general set-up where the SUSY partner masses are independent. We show that the global agreement of the MSSM solutions with the data is still very good. Nevertheless, especially in the constrained scenarios, the limits from B → K * μ + μ − are now ver… Show more

“…In the context of this expanded treatment, the so-called flavour anomalies in rare decays seem to form a coherent pattern, with a reduction of about 25% observed in the muonic C 9 Wilson coefficient relative to the SM prediction. In general these scenarios are not easy to accommodate within the MSSM, although a global agreement at the 2σ level is still possible [72]. Presently, FlavBit does not deal with violations of lepton flavour universality, so R K is not yet included as an observable.…”

“…Nevertheless, combining all the observables in a fit one can check the global agreement of the model with the available data [30]: The overall (global) agreement is relatively good, with regions in SUSY parameter space where the absolute χ 2 is sufficiently small and an agreement at the 1σ level is obtained.…”

“…This is a challenge for the modelbuilding. A large number of references [30,[105][106][107][108][109][246][247][248][249][250][251] results is presented in Fig. 33 [252,253] using the SuperIso program [254,255].…”

“…A first reason is that a clearer understanding of the reported anomalies may be in order, a second, that the SUSY framework may not be suited to resolving them (see e.g. [38] for a discussion in the MSSM). Other transitions -e.g.…”
