B → D (*) τν and B → τν in chiral U(1)′ models with flavored multi Higgs doublets

Abstract: We discuss semileptonic and leptonic B decays, B → D (∗) τν and B → τν, in the chiral U(1)′ models which were proposed by the present authors in the context of the top forward-backward asymmetry $ \left( {A_{\mathrm{FB}}^t} \right) $ observed at the Tevatron. In these models, extra Higgs doublets with nonzero U(1)′ charges are required in order to make the realistic mass matrix for up-type quarks. Then the extra (pseudo)scalars contribute to $ … Show more

“…First the study of these decays in 2HDM of type III [189,190] and in NP models with general flavour structure [191]. Moreover in [192] 2HDM and 3HDM models with the nonminimal flavor violations originating from flavour-dependent gauge interactions have been analyzed. It is to be seen whether this anomaly remains when the data improve.…”

“…And small neutrino masses may naturally be generated by one-loop diagram in some 2HDMs [12]. Finally, it is very interesting that in 2HDMs with flavor-dependent U(1) H gauge symmetry, the anomalies in the top forward-backward asymmetry at the Tevatron and B → D ( * ) τ ν decays at BABAR may be reconciled [13][14][15][16][17][18].…”

“…The BABAR measurement for this branching ratio indicates that the SM as well as the type-II 2HDM would be excluded with 99.8% probability [60]. This problem would require breaking of the so-called Natural Flavor Conservation criteria, which could be realized in the flavordependent U(1) model [61]. However, this breaking cannot be achieved in the 2HDM U(1) and the anomaly cannot be accommodated with this model.…”
