Livestock farming in developed countries faces adverse environmental impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions and pollution. Moreover, economic and social issues have emerged, such as farm concentration and the aging of farmers. Consequently, the decline of small farms and household animal husbandry substantially impacted rural communities, posing challenges for rural development. This study investigates these processes within the Hungarian livestock sector from the 1990s to recent years in the context of rural development, which is a rarely explored viewpoint in the literature. The research employed a statistical and policy document analysis, a literature review, and interviews (n = 66) conducted in Hungary’s Southern Great Plain region. The results reveal a decline in the number of animals and small farms in rural settlements, accompanied by an intense farm concentration, negatively affecting income generation opportunities. The established large-scale industrial animal husbandry has adverse environmental effects without positive externalities. The interviews highlight the severe challenges that young farmers face in starting their businesses, including land, labor, and capital shortages, leading to a slow generational change in the farming society. These processes demonstrate the limited multifunctionality of animal husbandry in Hungary. Our findings differ from those advocating for large-scale industrial agriculture development because an overly one-sided development pathway could lead to unsustainability.

Our daily lives are characterized by constant development, which offers new opportunities for us in several fields of life. As a result of technological development and digitalisation, a new industry (e-sport) has emerged and is growing rapidly. The popularity of e-sport is skyrocketing, but there are still several questions around this issue. Despite or due to the rapid growth, operators, operations, drivers, and contexts of this part of the entertainment industry are still an area that is unknown and needs to be explored. The aim of my research is to explore the current operation of e-sport, understand its characteristics to get a clear picture and provide an overview of the operators in the industry, the correlation between them, and the flow of money and value. To achieve my research goal, I conducted an analysis of the e-sport ecosystem. In the course of secondary data collection, I studied and processed existing domestic and international ecosystem analyses in literature, which I consider to be the most useful and valid for the purpose of the research. There are significant differences between existing ecosystem analyses; some are oversimplified while some are more complex for representation, but as far as I am concerned, none were completely complex. Models presented in this article do not, in my view, provide the most accurate picture of e-sport per se, but provide a comprehensive picture of the industry by integrating the positive aspects and systems of these analyses.

A TANULMÁNY CÉLJA Az innovációs ökoszisztémákat a kapcsolódó kutatások rendszerint az innovációs környezet leírásának egyik módjaként tekintik. A kifejezés mára nemcsak egyes technológiai cégek programjaihoz és ágazatokhoz kötődő térségfejlesztési kezdeményezésekhez köthető, hanem földrajzilag koncentrált ökoszisztémák jellemzésére is szolgál. Az innovációs ökoszisztémákkal kapcsolatos korai kutatások vezettek el a tudományos és innovációs parkok fogalmi megalapozásához. Ezek olyan innovációs környezetet teremtenek, amely keret ad a különböző szereplők tudásalapú, innovációorientált fejlődéséhez, különös tekintettel a közöttük kialakuló együttműködésekre. A kapcsolódó kutatások és irodalmi definíciók alapján megállapítható, hogy az innovációs ökoszisztéma nem egy abszolút fogalom, annak a gyakorlatban többféle megjelenési formája létezik. A jelen kutatás a tudományos és innovációs parkok oldaláról vizsgálja az innovációs ökoszisztémák egyes sajátosságait. A kutatás célja megvizsgálni, hogy milyen összefüggés van a különböző típusú innovációs ökoszisztémák és a parkba betelepülők száma és az ökoszisztéma kora között. ALKALMAZOTT MÓDSZERTAN Elsőként a kapcsolódó kutatások fogalmi megközelítéseinek áttekintése alapján meghatározásra kerültek az alapvető innovációs ökoszisztéma típusok. Ezt követően a vizsgálat feldolgozta 92 európai tudományos és innovációs park jellemző adatait és a releváns információkat, amelyek alapján a parkok besorolásra kerültek a meghatározott ökoszisztéma típusokba. A vizsgálat során az egyes típusokhoz kapcsolódóan vizsgálta a kutatás a parkok kora és a betelepültek száma közötti összefüggést, és ennek alapján értelmezte a parkok típusai közötti eltéréseket. LEGFONTOSABB EREDMÉNYEK A kutatás eredményei az egyes innovációs ökoszisztéma típusokhoz kapcsolódóan rámutattak az eltérő betelepülési intenzitásra, mint egyik fontos jellemzőre. Ennek kutatási jelentősége, hogy ad egy támpontot a park jellegű innovációs ökoszisztémák megkülönböztetésére, és az eltérő jegyek alapján a különböző parki fejlődési pályák jobb megértésére, mint a szakirodalomban kevésbé kutatott terület. GYAKORLATI JAVASLATOK A kutatás eredményei nyomán, a vizsgálat eredményei alapján kijelölhetők azok a további kutatási irányok, amelyek mentén az ökoszisztémák típusai, a betelepülési intenzitáshoz kapcsolódó faktorok vagy egyéb ökoszisztéma jellemzők tovább vizsgálhatók. A kutatás gyakorlati szerepe, hogy indikációt ad a parki menedzsment számára a mérvadó betelepülési rátára, illetve egy támpontot park fejlesztési stratégiájának kialakításához.
