Awareness on Various Surface Modifications of Implants Among Dental Students

Abstract: Implant surfaces are continuously being improved to achieve faster osseointegration and a stronger bone to implant interface. The adhesion and differentiation of osteoblastic cells are influenced by the surface properties of the dental implant. Surface properties include chemical composition, surface energy, roughness, and topography. In dental implants, surface roughness is often modified to modulate bone apposition.
