Avukatlarda Tükenmişliğin Negatif Duyguya Olan Etkisinin Yapısal Eşitlik Modeliyle (YEM) Araştırılması

Abstract

The main aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between burnout and negative affect of lawyers with a structural equation model (SEM). For this purpose LISREL 8.8. was used to test a structural equation model (SEM). The appropriateness of the developed SEM model has been discussed and determined by taking into account various compliance criteria. The attainment scores of 162 attorneys were tested by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) of factor structures of Maslach Burnout (MBI) and Negative Affect scales. The results obtained from the SEM suggest that, if lawyers consume their involvement with the clients and the whole environment, or increase the level of this involvement entirely may lead to negative affects. However, no evidence has been found that the insensitivity to immediate environment may lead to negative affects. Also, as the personal accomplishments of lawyers increase, they tend to move away from negative affects.
