Avaliação do Ruído Ambiental em uma Unidade de Armazenagem de Grãos localizada na Região Sul do Brasil

Abstract

O ruído consiste em um importante risco ambiental presente na rotina dos trabalhadores em uma Unidade de Beneficiamento e Armazenagem de Grãos (UBAG). Seus efeitos mais comuns sobre o trabalhador envolvem a perda de audição, problemas no sono, problemas cardíacos, estresse tanto em casa quanto no trabalho e a dificuldade de comunicação durante suas atividades. Sendo assim, buscou-se neste trabalho investigar os níveis de ruído aos quais estão expostos trabalhadores em uma empresa de médio porte, que atua na armazenagem de grãos na região sul do Rio Grande do Sul. Para tanto, realizou-se primeiramente o levantamento e caracterização do local objeto de estudo. A seguir, procedeu-se à coleta dos índices de ruído. Por fim, foi feito o tratamento dos dados coletados e a discussão dos resultados. As evidências indicam que encaminhamentos de melhorias voltadas à redução da exposição a ruídos devem considerar prioritariamente elementos externos à infraestrutura da empresa, neste caso representados pelo fluxo de veículos pesados (caminhões) em suas instalações.
