Abstract: Terapias endodônticas convencionais utilizam instrumentos mecânicos e soluções irrigadoras para promover a descontaminação dos canais; porém, a presença de bactérias mais resistentes e com maior capacidade de aderência às paredes dentinárias acaba levando ao desenvolvimento de infecções secundárias.
