Objective: To analyze frequency, age and time trend of complementary feeding introduction in infants. Methods: Retrospective study of infants’ data evaluated at nutrition sector of Programa de Atenção aos Bebês of Programa Einstein na Comunidade de Paraisópolis from 2012 to 2015. Survival analyzes were performed, and the outcome considered was the time until the introduction of each specific food. Results: Participants were 700 infants, with 5.5 months of median age. Water was the most consumed supplement (80.0%), followed by infant formula (64.1%) and juice (51.1%). Regarding the beginning of complementary feeding, water, infant formula and tea were the first to be introduced, with a median age of 3 months. It is noteworthy that almost one-fifth of the infants had already received processed foods. Water introduction proportions showed a significant tendency to increase over the years, and among infants at 6 months of age, varied from 72.8%, in 2012, to 91.1%, in 2015. The introduction of processed food category items presented a significant trend of change, showing, however, a reduction from 30.8%, in 2012, to 15.6%, in 2015, in this same age group. Among the processed foods, flour based thickeners (36.3%) and biscuits (26.3%) presented the highest proportions of consume. Conclusion: Water and infant formula were the most widely consumed and early introduced foods. Among the studied years, water introduction presented a significant tendency to increase and processed foods category to reduce consumption.

Objetivo: compreender a importância do aleitamento materno exclusivo (AME) e identificar os fatores que dificultam esse processo. Método: trata-se de uma revisão sistemática. As bases de dados consultadas foram a Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências de Saúde, a Base de Dados Bibliográficos Especializada na Área de Enfermagem, a Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online e a Scientific Electronic Library Online. Resultados: a pesquisa resultou em 28 artigos, dos quais 11 atendiam a este estudo. A maioria dos fatores encontrados nos resultados (5) apresentou como fator de risco o uso de mamadeiras, a alimentação complementar e as chupetas; seguidos do grau de escolaridade das mães e de fatores socioeconômicos (4); do estado emocional das mães, do tipo de parto, de mães que trabalham fora e da falta de preparo dos profissionais (3). Outros fatores apareceram em menor ocorrência. Conclusão: o êxito do AME se faz com uma abordagem holística e efetiva dos profissionais de Enfermagem em todas as etapas da gestação: a concepção, o pré-natal e o puerpério.

Objective: To analyze the reliability of information available on popular websites about vaccination of pregnant women according to the recommendations of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. Method: Descriptive and comparative study. For data collection, a checklist composed of information on recommended, contraindicated, and indicated vaccines in special situations during pregnancy, according to the Ministry of Health, was elaborated. Results: None of the analyzed websites presented all the recommended information. Contraindications, most common adverse events, simultaneous administration of vaccines, information on the DT vaccine, and recommended vaccines in special situations were presented by a minority of websites. Conclusion: Information available on websites about the vaccination of pregnant women is not always based on the recommendations and misinformation may interfere with the acceptance of this practice. The importance of the professionals of the multidisciplinary team as information mediators, particularly the nurse, is emphasized, as is the need for regulating the production and dissemination of information on the internet.
