Abstract

ResumoOs ecossistemas aquáticos continentais representam um sistema ainda pouco conhecido e bastante ameaçado pela ação do homem, principalmente as regiões litorâneas que sofrem com a especulação imobiliária, turística e industrial. As macrófitas aquáticas são essenciais ao equilíbrio do ambiente aquático, pois sustentam um grande número de organismos e respondem bem a diferentes gradientes ambientais que são formados lateralmente e ao longo do manancial.

The Plants associated with aquatic and marshy environments in the state of Paraíba, northeastern Brazil
