“…The decrease in FE observed with increasing WHLPC inclusion is consistent with the findings from Zhang, Overland, Sorensen, Penn, Mydland, Shearer and Storebakken (2012) showing that higher inclusion of lupin and pea protein concentrates in the extruded diets of rainbow trout resulted in significantly lower FE than low inclusion. The findings from Richard, Surget, Rigolet, Kaushik and Geurden (2011) have also shown that when 50% or more of the fishmeal were replaced with a mixture of plant proteins, weight gain of P. monodon significantly decreased. The work concluded that only 25% of fishmeal can be replaced with plant proteins and this is in agreement with the result of the present experiment on L. vannamei.…”
