Availability, functionality, and use of seat belts in Beijing taxis prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Abstract: Use of driver seat belts and availability and functionality of passenger seat belts in a convenience sample of 231 Beijing taxis were examined in the months prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Driver and front passenger seat belt use was mandated in China from 2004 to help address the growing public health crisis of road trauma.
