Autophagy blockage and lysosomal dysfunction are involved in diallyl sulfide‐induced inhibition of malignant growth in hepatocellular carcinoma cells

Abstract: Diallyl sulfide (DAS), as a major component of garlic extracts, has been shown to inhibit growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HCC), but the underlying mechanism is still elusive. In this study, we aimed to explore the involvement of autophagy in DAS‐induced growth inhibition of HepG2 and Huh7 hepatocellular carcinoma cells.
